These guys were great! This has definitely been the easiest house to buy. As soon as they contacted me, the folks started my paperwork before I even came down to look for houses. By the time I came to look, I knew how much I was able to spend and we were able to close on the house about 6 weeks later. They worked with me from 2,000 miles away and coordinated my closing without me having to come back down. They took the time to answer my questions on any of the numbers or paperwork and provided 2 points of contact to easily exchange information. I would highly recommend working with these guys.

I would like to point out that I have very limited time when I am in town, as I travel on a weekly basis for my employer. Mr. Garbo and his staff were more then understanding and were willing to assist us in obtaining all documentation as needed. They even went through our submitted documents and continually reminded me of what was needed to complete the transactions. I am a first time homeowner and when I say the thought of purchasing a home was probably the scariest thing I've ever done, I truly mean it. I am a recently single parent of two in the peak of my military career. Every decision made at this point is very important to my kids and my career. GOD placed some wonderful people in my life that turned my fear into accomplishment. I was referred to a wonderful woman (my Realtor) Angie Kellar. I gave her a little bit of background on my situation and she sympathized with me from a woman's perspective in a way that made me comfortable enough to tell her exactly what I wanted and didn't want. When I was being difficult and unsure, she listened then guided me back to what I really wanted...and that was to own a home for me and my kids. I must have changed my mind from owning to renting a million times. Not once did she show any frustration with me. She is just a wonderful person. Before getting started on the search, we needed to know where I stood financially. Angie then introduced me to Mr. John Garbo. He guided me through all the financial mumbo jumbo that I initially didn't understand, but after I met him and we went through the paperwork I left feeling very comfortable that I could make this happen. Needless to say, Angie and John make a great team. Not once did I feel like they were doing this to benefit them and just telling me what I wanted to hear to make a sale.

Now for the amazing part. I know you're wondering what did they do that was so special. If you are considering purchasing a home, know what you want and stick with it. I went in knowing how much money I wanted to spend monthly and what kind of home I wanted. Being military, my mom visits a lot to help out with the kids, so I knew going in that I wanted nothing less than a 4 bedroom. It sucks kicking the kids out of their rooms when grandma would visit. I also needed to have a decent size yard. Now to be honest, I wanted a little bigger than what I have, but it's enough for me and the kids. I also knew that with all the cost of purchasing the home, the size and price I wanted to pay was going to be very hard to find. It was virtually impossible to find a new 4 bedroom spacious home at 140K. Angie and John started working it. John worked the numbers while Angie worked the rest. Once the needle in the hay stack was found it was time to see where the numbers fell. It was the most amazing thing...lol. I not only got a wonderful 4 bedroom home 1 story home, 2K sq ft for under 140K, the seller paid all closing cost, and I walked out of closing with my earnest money and about 1K more than I expected to walk out with. It was crazy. Come to find out, John likes to play it safe when it comes to the financials. He quotes closing cost at a slightly higher price than calculated, so the buyer isn't surprised and coming out of pocket more than expected. This showed me that he was used to working with real people. Folks who can't just write a 5K check if it's not planned.

I have rambled on enough and I fear this testimony still don't do either of them justice, but they have both made me very happy. My head is still spinning from how wonderful things have turned out for me. Thanks so much John and Angie for being a positive stepping stone in my life. You two are an amazing team and I hope someone else gets to benefit from your services as I did. God bless you both.

I recently purchased my first home and they made it an almost seamless process (you still have to negotiate with the seller). Dave helped me understand the salient points of preparing my bid and superbly expressed my wishes throughout the negation process.
