I think overall the loan experience was a good one. Some of the frustrations we had were out of the control of those associated with Academy Mortgage. Given that I work in IT and with systems all day, it's important to tell people that when you upload documents to the Portal that it will only do 1 file at a time. When you upload the 2nd or next file, it will look as though the first one you uploaded is gone and it isn't. It is only reading the current one at a time. Additionally, I was also asked for the same document several times. To the point I ended up having to send sensitive information via email which I am not a fan of doing. Next time I do this, if ever, I will keep a spreadsheet of the document I send, the method of sending and who requested and the date sent. Lastly, there were a few times that the team seemed annoyed at questions my husband or I asked and we were told... we talked about this. Please remember, you all do this daily. We do not. Even if we have spoken about this, we may not remember all the details as this is not our daily jobs and how numbers related to this process are calculated are foreign. You are there to educate your clients no matter how many times someone asks the same question.
